The terrace suite offered a spacious and clean retreat, while the staff were considerate, our late arrival didn't go unnoticed by keeping the kitchen open for us. Enjoying breakfast with an expansive menu overlooking the beautiful pool was a highlight, especially with the chef checking in on us. The hotel's atmosphere, combining history with charm. Some amenities could benefit from modernization to enhance comfort.

Luxury and overall clean hotel, the staff who served us were attentive, and it had excellent location right in the centre of the fort so easy to explore. The breakfast looked generous, at reasonable prices, unfortunately we didn't have time and didn't try it.

Generous, colonial atmosphere. Very friendly staff. In the middle of the old town. Unique (so-called porcelain) room. Our driver Janith (+94 77 289 3228)!

Where it excels and where it fails
The service gleamed with kindness. Dilan makes you feel at home! The ambiance and history envelop the entire stay.
The stairs creak ominously, an unwelcome reminder of the hotel's age! A bit more attention to modern comforts would elevate the experience.

Historical ambience with wonderful flower arrangements. Collonial style, neat and quiet. Exceptionally friendly and competent staff. Excellent cuisine with varied dishes.
Open-air bathrooms do make sense in this climate, but the bathroom of the A C H Suite still seemed gloomy and somewhat worn out.

colonial charm, spacious loft suite, unique cookery class
The pool area could use additional lounging space!!! The stairs creak too much for my liking when navigating the hotel!!! A little more modernization wouldn't hurt to accommodate the current day's standards!!!
